Why MacWorld Magazine sucks
Back in 2008 I decided, on a whim, to send in a subscription to MacWorld magazine. I didn't like it so I didn't pay for the subscription and assumed that they would just stop like every other magazine subscription I've ever subscribed to. Usually the first issue is there so that you can see whether you want to subscribe. I sent them an email to cancel. Turns out that MacWorld magazine wouldn't let it go so they sent the bill to a collection agency. Since I don't want to have anything happen to my credit report, I paid the twenty dollars. Shortly thereafter I received MacWorld magazine again. I sent another email to cancel. They finally complied but I never got my 20 dollar refund for the subscription. This experience has tainted my experience with magazines. I may never subscribe again to any magazine. I'd rather just buy the occasional magazine at B&N or just read the vast information available on the internet.

Visit to NYC
I recently went on a trip to NYC with my brother who was visiting from Florida. We decided to use the Citysights bus package that drove us around downtown NY. Part of this package also included tickets to Madame Tussauds It was a delight to see wax figures that were incredibly lifelike. I have a lot more pics on facebook.
Besides going to Madame Tussauds, we saw the Empire state building where my brother had the courage to wait for quite s0me time to go the 80th floor and the 86th floor. He took some incredible pictures.
The only reason I actually went to NYC was the checkout the comic book shops. I visited two, Midtown Comics and Jim Hanley's Universe. I actually like Jim Hanley's Universe the most. It just had more unique items which can't be found elsewhere. Midtown Comics is pretty much just a larger version of the comic book stores I go to here. Those comic book stores are The Bookie and Buried Under Comics. I bought two Essential collections from each of the comic shops. I wanted to spend more time at JHU but since I went with my mom, she wasn't too interested in the store besides some Archie comics they had.
Overall, I enjoyed the short NYC trip. I'd sure like to spend more time at JHU.
